♥ KIDS NEED TO KNOW THESE THINGS

As a person that's been taking care of little kiddos for a long time, I always enjoy these types of lists, straight from a mom's heart.
This is an excerpt from a mom on what she wants her kids to know.

♥ DIY BACKYARD SPRAY PARK by EVENT HORIZONS http://eventhorizons.wordpress.com/2008/07/19/backyard-sprinkler-park/

After a winter season that seemed to go on forever, finally we can see the hope for summer temperatures on our horizons.  Personally, I wish it would stay at a perfect 72 degrees all year round.  I know, I know...most people would not be happy with this.  Most people appreciate that warm sun shining on their face...especially the little ones.  After all, how can the littles play outside in the water sprinkler without warm temps?

I found a great website called Event Horizons today.  It's written by an awesome dad, who's obviously a pretty talented DIYer.  He has built a complete backyard sprinkler park for his littles, and it looks adorable.  You too can make this for your kiddos.  He has given step by step instructions, with pictures and parts lists.  When you see the finished pieces, it might look a little intimidating, but don't worry.  He has made it very clear for the home DIY person.  Take a look here, then be sure to pop on over to his site for the full collection of pics.

♥ MOO MONDAY

Moo Monday

If you're lucky enough to live near cows, then you've probably noticed that it is cow baby season.  I LOVE seeing the cow babies out in the grassy fields, hanging out with their cow mommies.  (At least for the moment), they don't have a care in the world.

As a kid, we used to cut through a cow pasture on the way to school.  Those were the days when it was okay for little kids to walk to school, or even play outside for that matter, without adult supervision.  We were so innocent back then that we didn't see any problem with sharing that cow pasture with those great big animals.  I guess they were fine with it as well, because they never made a move in our direction.  So it came to me at a very early age to love and appreciate them, as well as their other farm animal buddies.  There's not too much cuter in this world than a baby miniature goat.

Along my routine most days, I'm blessed to be able to drive by cows, goats, chickens, and yes even a camel that shares his space with some buffalo.  I guess I'm just a big kid...I find much joy in these creatures.
